As you know, hosting is something I do for work (i.e., managing Fast Hit). But I’ve always been interested to find out what lies behind all those free hosts, that offer a lot of hosting space, traffic, all for free. Well.. there is nothing free in life and I decided to test some of these services to find out what’s the catch. Here is my first one – happyhost.org and here is another one – 000space.com.
I will setup an account with each free hosting service that is reviewed, monitor it over a few weeks and provide feedback if something blows up.

Here is another one: http://ausbusiness.100webspace.net/
The one has banners at the top of very page, but seems to be quite fast. And it supports PHP, mySQL and you can add your own domain.

This one is in Russia – a Yandex project. “Narod” means “People” or “Community” in Russian. http://ausbusiness.narod.ru/
No PHP, scripts or mySQL but a lot of website templates. Good for beginners. In Russia.
