There seems to be a lot of people here - attending the presentation classes, live blogging, taking picture and more. What a great idea, it should have more leading up publicity.
I went to the first meeting “M-learning” (as opposed to “E-Learning”). M-learning stands for mobile learning. Learing with the help of a pda or a laptop, if you’re wireless in the middle of nowhere. Mobile technology seems to be where the internet was ten years ago. It’s not always taken seriously, a lot of people still think that it’s only used for games. But more technoloty is coming out all the time and it will be interesting what [development] software will take a stronghold in this market. At the moment everyone seem to have their own thing.
The other meeting I went to was “Second Life in Education“. This is quite interesting - virtual learning opportunities are quite amazing, uniting people around the world into one classroom.. This this out - a Second Life campus at the University of Ohio:

What is web 2.0 hosting? The web 2.0 buzz is propagating into the hosting industry, with more and more companies now claiming that they offer “Web 2.0 Hosting“. What is it anyway? This sounds like a great idea, but the time will show if community projects can be self sustainable in that way.

Eleven of Australia’s second-tier telcos and Internet service providers have banded together to fight against what they describe as a “campaign of misinformation” by Telstra on the subject of telecommunications regulation.
Telstra: The Government is stifling broadband investment. If government and regulators don’t allow the next wave of Internet investment, Australia will be left behind … as our global competitors work even smarter and faster.
Australia is already behind.. because of Telstra, not the government. I think it’s about time we see some collective action in Australia. Telco’s monopolies never worked in other countries and only resulted in hight prices, IT mafia and a total halt to the development. It’ll be interesting to see the outcome.
I just did a search on Google for Plesk Reseller Hosting and discovered that there aren’t actually a lot of companies that actually do it. There are H-Sphere Reseller Hosting (including http://fasthit.net ), and a LOT of cPanel/WHM reseller hosting accounts. Why not Plesk?

Here at Fast Hit we often get calls with people saying, “Oh, our web site doesn’t work, we get could not connect error”! This often happens with web sites that just were moved to a new IP and the computer has the old IP cached in the DNS.
So, how about trying to clear the DNS cache (of flash DNS cache)? It’s easy.
In Microsoft Windows, you can use the command ipconfig /flushdns to flush the DNS resolver cache.
You can also use the command ipconfig /displaydns to view the DNS resolver cache.
C:\>ipconfig /flushdns
C:\>ipconfig /displaydns
In Mac OSX, you can use the command lookupd -flushcache to flush the DNS resolver cache.

If still doesn’t work, try rebooting your computer and your router!

Here is an interesting article on how Wikipedia blocked the whole nation of Qatar because someone spammed. Apparently the whole country is NAT’ed - appearing to the whole world as having one IP address.
…that resulted in the accidental blocking of the entire nation because Qatar’s sole telecom, Q-Tel, funnels all Internet traffic through that single address, a practice that allows the country to monitor and censor its users, said David Gerard, Wikipedia’s London-based spokesman…
